Stephen D'Aulby is our consultant Chartered Structural Engineer, involved in many of our architectural and structural defect services
An expert in his field, Stephen graduated from the University of Leeds in 1987 with a Masters Degree in Architectural Engineering. He then spent the next 13 years as a full time structural engineer specialising in aspects such as historic restoration and being heavily involved with large scale award winning residential and commercial developments. By the age of 30 he was in court as an expert witness, consolidating his expertise in structural engineering - a feat normally only seen by those above the age of 40.
In 2002 he decided to start up by himself, and we have worked closely together since then.

Stephen produces practical, elegant and economical structural design solutions for all types of building and infrastructure projects irrespective of their size or complexity.
He recognises that every project has a unique set of constraints and objectives and employs a rigorous approach to structural design establishing logic and concept; balance the demands of geometry, materials and loads to optimise the performance of the foundations, frame and facades; and assess the implications for energy usage and environmental impact. Utilising up-to-date design software he is able to develop and test a number of design options, manipulating the design criteria to establish the best economic and buildable solution.
His structural engineering services can be provided at any stage of a project, either as a single or multidiscipline commission.
Stephen has the technical skills, knowledge and experience to find creative solutions for even the most complex challenges and the ability to communicate these clearly to all parties.
